WWE WrestleMania 25: Triple H vs Randy Orton? On April 5, 2009, WrestleMania 25 will take place. The pay per view event is known for having explosive matches, and this year, one of the biggest matches will be between Triple H vs Randy Orton. Orton won the 2009 Royal Rumble, giving him the chance to fight for either the ECW title, the World Heavyweight title, or the WWE title at WWE WrestleMania 25. As the WWE champion, Triple H became one of Orton’s three possible opponents.
However, his match with Triple H is sure to be more than just a standard title bout. First of all, Orton defeated Triple H to win the Royal Rumble, so Triple H is out for revenge. The two have feuded off and on over the years. In February of 2009, Orton attacked Shane and Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H came to their rescue. This set up a new feud between the two, plus forced Triple H to announce that he is married to Stephanie McMahon, bringing their real-life marriage into the storyline (the two were “married” on-screen several years ago, although that storyline has since ended).
What will an Orton/Triple H match-up at WrestleMania mean? It will certainly be electric. Triple H has held the WWE title, among other titles, multiple times, and there was a time when he was considered almost undefeatable. Orton, on the other hand, has been a rising star in the WWE and has held several titles. But this match is more that just about winning another title—this match is personal.
