What makes this interesting is that with this victory, it marks the 21st consecutive semifinal that he has been apart of so naturally he is going to be a favorite to win the whole thing. If Roger Federer is the big Goliath, then his opponent Tommy Haas is the figurative David. The reason is that Roger Federer is the big bad bully on the block who is favored to win whereas this is the first time Tommy Hass has been able to make it this far in the tournament and this is his first Semi-Finals.

Tommy Haas is actually quite old. In the quarter-finals, he was the oldest person at age 31 and despite his underdog status, he is hoping to pull off the upset and knock off Roger Federer. However, most would agree that for that to actually happen is a very long shot and he has virtually no chance of winning.

   This is their 9th time of meeting in a ‘live’ match.
   The ATP lists 6-2 and is correct – although in their H2H the non-match at Queens is listed.

   Match 9 never happened because Andy Murray withdrew before they stepped out on court and Roddick was given a w/o.
   Since they didn’t play at all that match has no H2H stats – it would be better listed as 6W, 2L, 1dnp – and a w/o does not count as either a win or loss.

   Andy Murray has won 6: Doha 2009, Masters Cup 2008, Miami 2007, San Jose 2007, Wimbledon 2006, San Jose 2006
   Andy Roddick has won 2: Memphis 2007, Cincinatti 2006.

   Andy was indeed 19 at the time they last played at Wimbledon in 2006………. so I’ll give you that.
