The film reveals the story of Viktor played by Bill Nighty, the ruthless king of the vampires, has captured the werewolves and turned them into slaves that would toil for him and guard his vampire clan during the day. The lycans are less volatile than the original breed. The first of this lycans was Lucian played by Michael Sheen. As he grows up at Viktor’s home, he and Viktor’s daughter Sonja (Rhona Mitra) are attracted to one another and secretly becomes lover. With the help of Sonja and one of Victor’s attendants, Lucian Escapes. Viktor discovers the relationship between his daughter and uses her to capture Lucian. Setting out to rescue her, Lucian is captured by the Viktor’s soldier. Viktor announced sentence to death for Sonja and Lucian. After the blood shed battle Lucian declares his victory. The story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor, the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja, in his battle against the Vampire army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.
This is a sequel movie of its previous one. It is a prequel of the same remake, except a lack of good script. The character of Victor and Lucian portrayed not strongly in this sequel. So need to emphasize the right kind of work, to go to the depth of the character by the actor and actress. The Vampires here are too weak, they need to wear armor. Action scenes are not so impressively taken. Cinematography of the film is not perfect at all; but some scenes are very dim to understand what is going on. The film depicted from previous number of Underworld, so for the first time viewers it is some sort of disappointment, where as some bonus to be get from the new ones. Overall acting in this film is quite a little bit up to the mark. Sheen’s female fans may enjoy seeing him shirtless. It can prove that, he can cash in with Bad material. Mitra is fit and fetching here. Critically saying performances are very poor in this film.
