True Blood is based on horror drama in the world of vampires in our world. Following the Japanese invention of synthetic blood, vampires no longer need to kill for food. They have evolved from legendary monsters to normal citizens overnight. Even though humans are no longer considered food, many peoples are still skittish of vampires living amongst them in Louisiana. Enter Sookie Stackhouse. Sookie is a telepathic waitress at a bar, Merlotte’s, in Bon Temps, Louisiana. She meets Bill Compton, a 173-year-old vampire, who’s come back to town after the death of his last living relative. Sookie can’t read his mind, which makes him perfect for romance. The first season dealt with a serial killer who targeted people he considered “vampire lovers”. While he killed, he threw suspicion on Sookie’s brother, Jason. Jason become addicted to vampire blood and ends up joining an anti-vampire group, Fellowship of the Sun. Who knows what’s in store for them all in Season Two.
