Sang-hyeon (Song Kang-ho) is a well-liked, and respected, village priest, who volunteers at a local hospital. Wanting to help save lives in Africa, he becomes part of an experiment to test a vaccine for the deadly Emmanuel Virus. Unfortunately, something goes very wrong and he contracts the disease only to make a seemingly miraculous recovery. He discovers he hasn’t really recovered, he’s become a vampire. People don’t know this and despite his protests flock to him because of his “faith healing“, including a childhood friend and his family. Sang-hyeon is drawn to his friend’s wife, which spirals into a chaos of doubt and gore as the priest learns to deal with his need for blood and intense sexual desire for his friend’s wife. Will he learn to drink without killing? Will he give in to his vampiric desires? What will happen to his faith? IWebie.com has more information on this and other summer horror films.
