The series is based on the theme of relationships between teenagers, and the consequences of their actions. The first season revolved around teenage pregnancy when a teenage girl, Amy, discovered she’s pregnant after one-night stand with Ricky Underwood, the school’s playboy. The first season dealt with how the pregnancy changed the lives of not only Amy and Ricky, but everyone else around them both. Amy’s condition put additional strain on her parents’ strained marriage. Amy ends up closer than ever to her sister, Ashley, Ashley’s boyfriend, Ben, and even Ricky. However, in finally divulging her secret, Amy discovers that almost everyone at Ulysses S. Grant High School has their own secrets and fears. Now that the second season is underway, what new adventures await Amy, Ricky, and the rest of the Grant High School teenagers? Amy and Ricky deal with their baby’s first year. Amy’s mother, Anne, starts dating her boss. What other secrets will be revealed?
