The film is about the story of an editor Margaret played by Sandra Bullock faces deportation to her native Canada. She declares that she is actually engaged to her assistant Andrew played by Ryan Reynolds, whose tormentor is she for years. He agrees to participate with her, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always in control city girl finds herself in such comedic situation. She is just a kind of fish out of water situation after another. There is good to see them with a hilarious weeding in the works and an immigration official on their tails. This way Margaret and Andrew stick up to their plan despite the utmost funny consequence.
Although the movie is predictable, like most romance comedies are, nevertheless it was sweet. There is a little bit unrealistic in terms of the time line of the whole plot takes place but this is why we have movies like this. At the time, watching this movie we can drop into the fantasy of romance and humor. If you are looking for realism then watch a 3 hour drama, but if you want to escape for awhile and just enjoy a movie you don’t have to think too much about then it’s worth your time. If you don’t want to bore yourself to see a good intelligent movie then it is a best entertainer for you. At the time you sitting in cinema, you thought of nothing else and laughed and even cried a bit. It is a good mix up of comedy with light romance, where it may not be the best romantic comedy for the cine lovers but the movie still holds lots of charm. The storyline is great and cute, entertaining. The star casting is also done in right manner. They’re all nice to look at and there are a few moments where the situation is treated almost realistically. Enjoy the Ryan Reynolds eye candy and try not to wince at how skinny Sandra Bullock has become. Sandra is perfect to portray Margaret character, with her well known performance. Usually the Sandra magic works for the film and it bagged the success in box office for few weeks.

I saw The Proposal. I thought it was such a good movie!!! I laughed so much at the whole spiritual-chant thing with Sandra Bullock and Betty White. haha… that rap part was so unexpected. Oh, and I actually cried a lot too. The transition from “mean Sandra Bullock” to “nice, loving Sandra Bullock” was so cute and sweet. And plus, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are like the guy and girl version of each other when it comes to comedic acting style… so the chemistry was really good. This movie might be my new favorite romantic comedy. lol well anyway, nice post.
