The Men Who Stare at Goats is directed by Grant Heslov and the screenplay writer is Peter Straughan. This is a war film with a hint of comedy and comes with the tagline, “No goats. No glory”. It had a release date November 6, 2009. The plot begins with the desolate life of a reporter who finds it hard to deal with life after the breakdown of his marriage. In an attempt to forget his pain, he decides to get involved in war reporting so as to spice things up and make life a bit interesting.

He soon gets to meet a Special Forces agent and comes to know of an exciting secret. There is a psychic military unit in American army who operate secretly through the incorporation of paranormal powers. They belong to the US Army’s First Earth Battalion. Their mission is to end wars and they are now particularly worried as the founder of this unit is nowhere to be found. As the investigation proceeds, it is revealed that a series of clues are actually pointed towards a psychic soldier who has basically manipulated the course of the entire mission. He has an entirely different set of priorities to meet.
