The Last Airbender is based on the successful animated TV series on Nickelodeon. The opening chapter in Aang’s struggle to survive, The Last Airbender stars Noah Ringer and Nicola Peltz. This live-action feature film appears on screens nationwide July 2 2010. In their world the four elements are capable of being controlled by people known as “benders”. Four nations are tied by destiny and they are: Air, Earth, Fire & Water. In an effort to control the other nations the Fire nation launches a war against the other three which becomes brutal.
The stopping of this war all rests on the shoulders of a young boy named Aang who is the last known Airbender as well as survivor of the peaceful Air Nomads. Aang is the Avatar. The Last Airbender can be found showing in some theaters in 3D. Produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures, The Last Airbender also stars Cliff Curtis, Dev Patel, Jackson Rathbone, Shaun Toub and Aasif Maadvi.
