The Blind Side is directed by John Lee Hancock and the screenplay is written by the director himself. The plot is inspired from a book authored by Michael Lewis. This is story about an African-American and the events that he is faced with as a member of a college football program. Due to be released on November 20, 2009, this film belongs to the category of drama and sport. It is a depiction of a true event that leads to some amazing self discovery in the principle characters.

You get to see how Michael Oher, the youngster belonging to an African-American origin and hailing from a broken family becomes a member of the Touhys, an affluent white family. It is under their love and patronage that he realizes his true potential. The insight that he happens to cultivate in his new environment is replete with a new set of challenges. He works hard as a student and player and his adopted family provides him with excellent coaches and other required help. Oher eventually shapes up as an All-American offensive left tackle.
The film releases with a PG-13 rating and comes under Warner Brothers Productions. It is starred by Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, Kathy Bates and Quinton Aaron.
