It’s an interesting background, when one thinks about it, because it’s actually quite a likely scenario for some people. Desperate to send her eight-year-old son Oscar (Jason Spevack) to school, she listened to her married Lover who worked as a cop (Steve Zahn) advice and opened an enterprise called Sunshine cleaning, a company that specializes in cleaning up crime scenes.

She asked her sister Norah (Emily Blunt) to join up with her in the business and it turned out to be something quite meaningful as they start to think back on their own mothers’ death as they clean up people’s death scenes. This movie, directed by Christine Jeffs , is a slight one but surprisingly it’s not cliché at all. This movie successfully developed the strange theme into a great and interesting plot and of course with a pinch of humor here and there. It’s not as dark as when one would think of crime-scene cleaning, it’s more like the title, light and easy. All in all, it’s a moderately entertaining movie. You will not feel bored watching it.
