On January 9, 2010 Birmingham will face Manchester United at St. Andrew’s. Man. U. which is very popular among the EPL, experienced a 3-0 loss to Fulham December 19th. Their League Cup semi-final against Manchester City was postponed so it could be tough trying to secure this win. Mid fielder Michael Carrick insists that the team needs to get back to their winning ways and sooner rather than later. Even though they’ve gotten off to a slow start in 2010 Manchester United should be able to step it up when taking on Birmingham this Saturday.

We recently learned that Birmingham is looking to make Liverpool winger Ryan Babel their first signing of the January transfer window. A chance at regular first team football could tempt 23 year old Babel as he looks into securing a place in Holland’s World Cup squad.
