Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton) was an insurance investigator until his son died because the company he worked for refused to pay for the treatment that would save him. The series introduces Ford as doing the wrong things for the right reasons. He’s talked into leading a team of top criminals: Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), a bad actress but brilliant con-artist; Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), ex-military and expert weapons and combat retrieval artist who also cooks; Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge), the technology and cyber-crime expert who can hack anything and everything; and Parker (Beth Riesgraf), resident cat-burglar, explosives expert, and sociopath. This team has come together despite ingrained “every man for themselves” attitudes to take down specially selected targets like IYS Insurance or other corporate entities who have taken advantage of the average person. They become the people to turn to when there’s no one else to help, or they bad guys have the law, but not right, on their side. The second season is chock full of new adventures as they set up new headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
