I Love You, Beth Cooper is a teen coming-of-age comedy. Denis Cooverman (Paul Rust), the nerdy class valedictorian, decides to do something different with his Graduation speech. In front of all his classmates, faculty, and relatives, he declares his love for the most popular girl in school, Beth Cooper (Hayden Panettiere). Unfortunately for Denis, Beth Cooper, doesn’t know who Denis is, much less that he had feelings for her. She’s not completely repulsed by this, despite a jealous – and large – Army boyfriend. She decides to give Denis a night he’ll never forget when she and her two best friends show up at his graduation party. A night not without it’s challenges and nerdy comedic elements.
