John Corbett plays the character of Greg, a charming young man who owns a bar just on the other side of the same street where Genevieve’s flower shop is located. Nia Vardalos plays the character of Genevieve and it is she who tries to convince Greg to agree for a series of five dates. She does this due to the reason that she was utterly smitten by him on their very first meeting. She says that this would be a no strings attached temporary relationship. But, after the end of five dates, Genevieve realizes that from deep within, she is deeply interested to continue with this relationship. She wants something much beyond these simple five dates.
