The move Avatar is FINALLY here!! Avatar will hit the screens in the U.S. Friday, December 18, 2009. An ex-Marine ends up on an alien planet that is filled with all sorts of exotic life forms. The former Marine was paralyzed from the waist down during combat on Earth. The story’s main character, Jake, is played by Sam Worthington. Jake is selected to participate in the Avatar program to replace his late twin brother whose avatar is compatible with him. He travels to Pandora which is 4.3 light years away from Earth.

There are wars going on at Pandora over the planet’s resources and the latter’s continued existence. If you didn’t know, the word Avatar is a representation of a real person in a virtual world hence the title of this animated film. Also starring in Avatar is Michelle Rodriguez, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Stephen Lang. Avatar finds himself torn between two worlds and ends up fighting for his own survival. If you’re an Avatar fan make sure you see this flick! Between the amazing graphics and the action, a sci-fi /animation geek would be foolish not to check it out!
