Daniel Craig may have admitted that Sean Connery was the one who gave cult dimensions to this Fleming character, but the death coldness and tongue- chipping grit that Craig has brought to this flick is truly awesome.
The 007 James Bond Movie – Quantum of Solace starts with Daniel setting on the trail of the diabolical Dominic Greene who killed his girlfriend in the last Bond movie. Matheiu Amalric takes bond to Dominic Greene and then starts the real battle. No actor could better define the bottled anguish better than Craig; the one which he shows while gutting Dominic’s evil organization, the Quantum.
The actors portraying the villains must be commended for their near-perfect portrayals. Even the sidekick Tarantino, adds a monkeyish mania which breaks the sanity of the plot and in fact that is as welcome.
The speedboats, the jet fighters, and the motorcycles are all there. The expensive cars keep flying in the backdrop just like the old Bond movies.
Olga Kurylenko marks a change of guard. With each movie, the bond ladies are growing in size. They are no more only meat for the eyes. Olga brings her own side of revenge to the tale and at the climax she binds it with Craig’s vengeance.
