2012: An odyssey is a movie produced by Sacred Mysteries. It gives an impression of a commercial documentary. It talks about a raging phenomenon that is due to take place sometime near the winter solstice of 2012. The documentary footage travels through the length of United States panning out to California and Georgia with equal ease.
In between traveling from one geographical locale to another, the footage is mingled with expert comments from lecturers and erudite locals. This makes for an interesting viewing.
On December 2012, in accordance with the Mayan Calendar, the world will end. Now many prophesies fail and humans, like the invincible race that they are, stand tall against all kind of problems. Despite this, the doomsday prophesy builds a lot of tautness among viewers who curiously wait for the solution to this.
The movie needed its audience to be well versed with metaphysics though. So it might have been uninteresting for few of the viewers who had no idea about Shamanism, ascension and any traditional ritual of the indigenous area.
After 2012: the war of souls, this is the second movie which brings to light the Mayan prophesies of Doomsday. Watch it for the UFO theorists. They pack quite a punch.

I got a glimps of a trailer a while ago and was totally pulled into the movie without knowing anything about it. Since then I have seen a few trailers and can not wait to see it on opening night. I’m sure it will be quite an adventure. Special effects appears to be top notch.

I saw a sneak peak of this on tuesday. THIS IS THE WORST MOVIE EVER!!!!!. Please, save your money for a case of beer because after seeing this you will want to get blackout drunk and forget that you saw it…

Went to the midnight showing of disaster movie 2012. Not bad at all – good entertainment. The movie 2.5 hours long and I did not check my watch once or go potty – you just afraid you might miss something. The very last words spoken in the movie are really stupid for a movie like this – I mean a 250ml movie that ends with …….DUMB!
This was one of the worst movie’s I have seen. I was not expecting cartoon creations. I was expecting so much more of a realistic possibility. Video games are much more realistic. Save your MONEY!! I’m disappointed I lost 2 hours of my life on this.
Just saw this movie last night… loved it! I want to see it again. I went expecting GREAT special effects and wasn’t disappointed. It was a very diverse cast which blended well together. Not for kids, due to some of the disaster scenes, but ok for teens, maybe tweens, nothing real graphic. For the critics, it’s just a movie, don’t be so negative.

very predictable movie… we all know star kids don’t die in disaster movie even with no food,water, shelter or in extreme weather. What’s the point of running? Didn’t we see enough CGI? After Jurassic Park and Independence Day, that’s it. We shouldn’t be amazed by it.
I saw the movie and it was breathtaking and very VERY intense,i would not reccomand a chold under 9 c it because my 11 year old daughter saw it the day it came out and said it was the best movie ever and suprisingly I agreed with her. I hate those kind of movie so this was a surprise!. My daughter said the young gug, the son was HOT and i was just astounded because she is just 11 going 2 13 like the actor aka. Liam who is 13

Saw the movie. Same scenario as Independence Day, etc. Some parts look like part of the same set as Indendence Day. Special effects were truly awesome. Acting was terrible. Not a single character showed any depth. Each character very cliche, the hero, the villain, the damsel in distress with bratty kids. But still it is not a bad diversion for a couple of hours.
What can I say. In the words of Cartman from South Park , that movie sucked ass. Cliché after cliché. Unbelievable driving skills by lead actor Cusack, I was expecting the General Lee car horn to sound when the limo cusack was driving jump high on the bitumen to avoid the cracks from the earthquake. Just a totally shit movie, believe me save your money. Deep Impact shits all over this movie.

Excellent special effects, no story. Full at top of the classical Hollywood clichés. It is obviously targeted to young teenagers and for people who wish to test their home theather systems. Otherwise, avoid at all costs or wait for its dvd release for someone to lend.

What a disappointment. This movie borrows parts from just about every natural disaster movie I’ve watched like “The Poseidon Adventure” and “Earthquake”. The only thing that I was praying for was a swift end to the movie. Too drawn out, idiotic dialogue and just plain stupid. Save your money and wait for it to come out on Rental DVD
Guys, if are serious abt the movie..lend me ur eyes and mind! This movie can be perceived from two angles; special effect wonder; and Classic Cliche of holly wood. If u like special effects of rather flawless kind, watch it. if u get flamed easily by the cliche of disaster; invincible hero; nothing-can-stop us super family; sentiment packed suspense scenes etc keep aloof going this movie, then it is not for you, a true crap indeed. The whole concept of this movie is unintelligent! Fear + speculation + ignorance = panic! Hollywood and it’s idiotic writers are simply trying to distract people from facts and truth! This is a total insult to the intelligence of the Mayan people. Blown completely out of proportion of course just to make money for a bunch of greedy movie producers! 2012 was an excellent movie. Awesome visual effects. I was captivated throughout the entire movie. John Cusack was entertaining. This movie was much better than I expected. I love how this movie touches on what is truly predicted to happen in the near future. It is amazing how much of the population is unaware of the Myans predictions. The underwater scenes were too dark to discern what was happening. With the movie ‘Iron Man’ most of the scenes were too dark to tell what was going on. That ruined the entire film for me.This movie surpassed Angels and Demons by a thousand fold.I am astounded at how many horrible movies have come out in the last decade.What a relief to finally see this one.
