The game could have ended in a clean 1-0 win for Ireland. But there was an abrupt dramatical change and the game did not turn out as it was speculated.

While trying to defend a volley triggered by Stilian Petrov Kevin Kilbane of   Ireland team made a terrible mistake. Instead of saving the volley he threw the ball inside their goal.

With this the sure- win match ended in a tie between Ireland and Bulgaria which left the spectators in the stadium in a state of profound amazement.
