India England Live Cricket Match Test Series - A 2 Match Test Series scheduled to begin from December 11th onwards.
India-England test series has just begun and it has started amidst fear and concurrent rings of security. England has shown solidarity towards the Mumbai blast victims and pledged half the match fee but even a layman can figure out that it is less a gesture and more a marketing gimmick.
Moving to the cricketing arena, it seems a little lop-sided this time, at least in terms of morale. Englishmen know that they are in deep waters and no matter how much opposing captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni praises the English bowling department, even they know that they are up against something colossal this time.
Indians have the backing of a one-day rout which was preceded by triumph over Australians. If confidence is a yardstick then Indians are inundated in confidence at this point in time.
Batting looks solid as ever and the paper tigers are actually firing. Sehwag and Gambhir look good up the order and we know how time cannot wither or age decay the infinite grace of a certain Mr. Sachin Tendulkar. Dravid is having a lean patch but then the wall will be pleasantly waiting for the law of average to catch up. Laxman should have a field day again. You cast this man out and he comes back to throw an egg on your face.
Truly, the English bowling looks good but the batting seems all messed up. Freddie Flintoff has long been the blue-eyed of English cricket but ever since the beer-on-the-boat episode during the world cup, he looks a pale shadow of his old self. Once again England will be relying heavily on the performance of their skipper Kevin Pieterson.
India vs England Day 1 of 1st Test Series (Chennai) – 90 overs gone. England Scored 229/5. Flintoff is not out at 18 and Anderson on 2.
India vs England Day 2 of 1st Test Series (Chennai) – England score 316/10 in 128.4 overs. India manage to score 155/6 in 45 hours with M S Dhoni on 24 and H Singh on 13.
India vs England Day 3 of 1st Test Series (Chennai)- India manages to make 241 Runs on the 3rd day. England hit 172/3 at the close of the 3rd day to take their overall lead to 247 with 7 wickets remaining with Strauss on 72 and Collingwood on 60 not out.
India vs England Day 4 of 1st Test Series (Chennai)- Strauss and Paul Collingwood attacked the Indian Bowlers after England resumed on their overnight score of 172/3, raising another 72 runs in the first session.
India vs England Day 5 of 1st Test Series (Chennai)- India won the 1st Test Series by making 387/4, which was the target of the England team, and once again proved that they are the best of forms today. (Check more details here)
