Heroes (originally titled Mere Bharat Mahaan), expected to release in October, 2008, boasts of a multi star-cast which includes Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Mithun Chakraborty, Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, Sohail Khan, Vatsal Sheth and Amrita Arora. Heroes revolves around the story of two boys, who embark upon a road trip from Delhi to Chandigarh. But their journey stretches far beyond into Manali and Ladakh. During the course of their this trip, the two boys chance across a variety of characters played by Salman, Preity, Sohail, Sunny and Bobby, whose real life stories inspire heroism in them and changes their lives dramatically.

Contrary to the original title “Mera Bharat Mahan”, Heroes is not a patriotic movie, but more of a youth -roadtrip sort of story and this precisely is the reason why the film’s producer Vikas Kapoor decided to rechristen it Heroes. The movie which is filmed at the picturesque locations of Pangong Tso and Manali, has Salman and Preity paired opposite each other (this is their 5th appearance in a movie together).
