This win on behalf of the Manchester United boys has been successful to a great extent to put their defeated rivals in grey shades of deep anxiety. Now the Sunderland squad is left in the gruesome danger zone of facing a relegation following this defeat of their team………..

Manchester City

With Micah Richards’ magic touch to the ball fortune extended its favor to the Manchester United boys as they bagged the match in their win-list. It was in the second –half only that Richards was able to the winning goal into the opponent net.

Since the beginning the match was a challenging feat for both the teams. The Sunderland boys rolled up their sleeves to put up a strong offence against their opponents. But as luck has it, the day was not at all their day. The Sunderland side was already in the danger zone when their one of the winning hopes George McCarthy had to be shown red card.

There was one ray of hope for the Sunderland boys- Manchester United had to step into the field sans Stephen Ireland and Wayne Bridge who were suffering from serious injury. But this advantage could not be encashed .

In spite of the endless Endeavour from Sunderland players like Jones, Murphy, Malbranque , Edwards etc the match finally went into control of the Manchester United squad and they left the field victorious.
