Friday, June 26th, 2009Michael Jackson | Michael Jackson Dies at 50 – World Pop star Michael Jackson has been confirmed dead as of June 25th 2009. Fire Captain Steve Ruda received a 911 call from a west Los Angeles residence at 12:21 pm. Jackson was treated and transferred to the UCLA Medical Center. Upon arrival of the paramedics Jackson was not breathing. Michael Jackson has to be the world’s most well known pop star and his legacy will be remembered for years to come. Reports say that the 50 year old entertainer went into cardiac arrest and later fell into a coma. His doctor was at the house with him. Michael had been having some complications the day before.

“The King of Pop” was scheduled to perform for his final concerts in London Summer 2009. He passed away just weeks before this tour began. 750,000 tickets sold within first four hours of release of his tickets. Jackson called his upcoming tour the “final curtain call”.
Ever since he was acquitted in 2005 on child molestation charges in the U.S. Jackson hasd rarely been seen in public. Jackson’s Neverland Ranch went up for auction and was sold in 2008. Since selling his Neverland ranch a year ago MJ has spent much of his time since his acquittal living in Bahrain. The ICON is estimated to have sold more than 750 million albums in total.
Michael came on the music scend at 5 years old with his brothers in the group The Jackson 5. He remained popular even up until his death. Jackson was one of a kind and will surely be missed.
