The opening chapter in Aang’s struggle to survive, The Last Airbender stars Noah Ringer and Nicola Peltz. This live-action feature film appears on screens nationwide July 2 2010. In their world the four elements are capable of being controlled by people known as “benders”. Four nations are tied by destiny and they are: Air, Earth, Fire & Water. In an effort to control the other nations the Fire nation launches a war against the other three which becomes brutal.
The stopping of this war all rests on the shoulders of a young boy named Aang who is the last known Airbender as well as survivor of the peaceful Air Nomads. Aang is the Avatar. The Last Airbender can be found showing in some theaters in 3D. Produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures, The Last Airbender also stars Cliff Curtis, Dev Patel, Jackson Rathbone, Shaun Toub and Aasif Maadvi. The film features a man named Tommy who, after serving 3 years, has just been released from prison. Tommy is ready for a second chance at life, but after getting out of jail, he finds that life out here is way more complicated than he imagined. Adding to the craziness of his life is his eccentric sister and an entourage of crazy people who follow him wherever he goes. At least they keep popping up.

This is Tim Allen’s first time directing, and is notable for reuniting him with co-stars from many of his previous films which you’ll notice in the lineup. Also starring in Crazy on the Outside is Sigourney Weaver, Kelsey Grammar, Ray Liotta, Julie Bowen & J.K. Simmons. Crazy on the Outside will be released in theaters nationwide January 8, 2010.

This is exactly what was going on with Jane and Jake’s kids. After running into each other at their son’s graduation in NYC, the two ended up hanging out one evening together reminiscing, drunk and in bed! It’s Complicated stars Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin & Steve Martin. Jake, who cheated on Jane years ago, is still married to a younger woman who has a 5 year old son named Pedro. His new wife is in great shape and pressed to have a baby.

Jane and Jack go on having this affair, which is odd because they were once married and Jake’s “mistress” is his older ex-wife who he cheated on. They sneak around and have a great time, just like old times! But then Jane who is an amazing chef is working on expanding her kitchen and her architect (played by Steve Martin) is making her dreams come true with his outstanding plans. They two end up attracted to one another and Jake is a little jealous to say the least. It’s Complicated is not your typical romance but it will have you laughing with your date. Will the successful attorney and bakery owner continue with their affair? Will they reignite the flame for good and get back together or will Jane fall for the architect, also a divorcee, who is sincerely interested in dating her get a winning chance? She is planning to do it on Leap Day which is a unique Irish tradition that occurs whenever there’s a February 29th. On this special date, in the Irish culture, women are allowed to propose to men. She’s got their trip to Dublin all mapped out until a few major setbacks damage her plans.

An ex-Marine ends up on an alien planet that is filled with all sorts of exotic life forms. The former Marine was paralyzed from the waist down during combat on Earth. The story’s main character, Jake, is played by Sam Worthington. Jake is selected to participate in the Avatar program to replace his late twin brother whose avatar is compatible with him. He travels to Pandora which is 4.3 light years away from Earth.

There are wars going on at Pandora over the planet’s resources and the latter’s continued existence. If you didn’t know, the word Avatar is a representation of a real person in a virtual world hence the title of this animated film. Also starring in Avatar is Michelle Rodriguez, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Stephen Lang. Avatar finds himself torn between two worlds and ends up fighting for his own survival.
