Friday, July 17th, 2009Emmy Awards 2009 | Emmy Award 2009 Nominations Announced – The 2009 Emmy Award Nomination Announcement aired Thursday, July 16, 2009, by Grey’s Anatomy’s Chandra Wilson and The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons. CBS will air the awards show on Sunday, September 20, 2009 with Neil Patrick Harris as the scheduled host.
Surprises in this 2009 Emmy nominations – besides the increase to six nominees per category if needed – included NBC’s 30 Rock earning 22 nominations, which set a record for nominations for a comedy series. For the first time since The Flintstones in 1961, an animated show was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series – Seth McFarland’s Family Guy. Currently, cable is expected to dominate in many categories for their outstanding original series. Chandra Wilson, Jim Parsons, and Neil Patrick Harris are all nominated for an Emmy Award in their categories. On Sunday, Billy Mays was found dead in his Florida home after an autopsy revealed that he died from a heart attack. For many people this is a devastating blow for many reasons, Surely, you cant help but feel extremely sorry for his family and children since they all lost a loving father and Husband. Billy Mays came to infomercial fame through his unique style of pitching products that he truly believed in. Some people were turned off by his unique style since they felt he was merely shouting at them but despite what haters said, Billy Mays was highly successful as a TV Pitchman and loved by all who was able to meet him.

In fact, it was his unique style that brought him fame. There is no one past or present that has had the big impact on television infomercials and changed the game as much as he has. He was successful in selling many products from Might Putty, Orange Glo, and Oxy Clean, to Espn 360, Life insurance, and Mighty-Mend-It, he had a unique talent for selling products that not many people have. In case you have not heard, his funeral will be held this Friday in the Pittsburgh suburb in which he was born and raised. The services will start at 9:30 am at the St. Mary Church in McKees Rocks.

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009See Michael Jackson’s Will Made Public Online – CNN reports the contents of Michael Jackson’s will – dated July 7, 2002 – leaves his entire estate, which was valued in 2007 to be a net worth of an estimated $230 Million, in the Michael Jackson Family Trust and includes control of Jackson’s music royalty rights, as well as other “non-cash, non-liquid assets.”*
Jackson’s 2002 will was filed today, Wednesday, July 01, 2009 with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The will, CNN says, specified that Jackson’s former wife, Deborah Rowe Jackson, was intentionally left out.
Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson’s mother, was awarded temporary custody of Jackson’s three children on June 29, 2009 until July 6 when a judge will rule on a more permanent solution. However, in Jackson’s will, he specified he wanted Katherine to have custody of his children in the event of his death. He also names singer, Diana Ross, as a substitute guardian if Katherine Jackson was unable to perform the duty.
Attorneys John Branca and Barry Diegel, and music industry executive, John McClain were named executors of the will and petitioned the courts for immediate control of the estate, but Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff saw no reason to replace Katherine Jackson as temporary administrator until the next hearing on Monday, July 6. Both attorneys say their primary concern is welfare of Jackson’s children.

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009See the Michael Jackson Public Viewing Friday – News vans and crowds are descending on Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch on Friday, July 3, 2009 for the public viewing of the singer’s remains. Plans include a 30-vehicle motorcade to move Jackson’s remains from Los Angeles to the ranch beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009, though the California Highway Patrol had not been requested for transport as off June 30.

The public is already vying with news media for spots for Friday’s viewing. CNN reported the public viewing, which is but one stop on the way to Jackson’s final and undisclosed resting place. Though no official funeral plans have been announced there are several memorial services planned to honor the iconic pop singer. Joe Jackson, Jackson’s father, denied that Neverland will be Jackson’s burial site, given that it would then become a public attraction. Also, Rudy Clay, Mayor of Gary, Indiana, is campaigning to have Jackson’s remains come back to his birthplace. The city of Gary is planning a public memorial service on July 10 at the US Steel Works Ballpark.
Jackson is survived by three children, his parents, siblings, and millions of fans around the world. The focus now, according to Tom Barrack, Jr. – who bailed out a financially strapped Jackson last year, and has controlling interest of the estate – is having grieving fans treated properly. The estate will be dealt with at a later date.

Chris Brown Threatened To Kill Rihanna
Friday, March 6th, 2009The notes from a detective that was assigned to the Chris Brown and Rihanna domestic abuse case were very frightening. In the notes, the detective recounts everything that happened that night and it is more severe than what it was thought to be.
The whole altercation started when Rihanna found a text message on Brown’s phone from a girl that he had a previous relationship with. From there, Brown started punching Rihanna in the face and slamming her head against the window of the car. It states that when Rihanna went to face Brown, ” he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand.”
Brown even at one point had Rihanna in a head lock were she almost became unconscious. Rihanna was able to call her assistant, but had to fake the call as her assistant did not answer. She told her to have the cops waiting at home. That is when Brown told Rihanna “You just did the stupidest thing ever. Now I’m really going to kill you.”
The beating continued on until Rihanna screamed for help and Brown finally got out of the car and left. A neighbor near the car called 911.
Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies and could get anything from probation to 4 years in prison.
The “Girls Next Door” Kendra Wilkinson Ready To Have a Family
Monday, March 2nd, 2009Kendra Wilkinson, who has starred in the reality show, “Girls Next Door,” for the past few years is ready to settle down with her fiancé and start a family. Kendra will
be marrying professional football player Hank Baskett this summer and doesn’t want to wait very long for kids. “We always talk about [having kids],” Wilkinson tells PEOPLE. “He wants kids so [badly], and I do, too.”
The couple is so serious about starting a family, that they are already coming up possible names. Kendra says that, “My first initial is K and my middle name is Leigh, so we were thinking of Kaleigh.” And for a boy she goes on to say, “And he’s Hank Baskett III, so of course I’m going to have a Hank Baskett IV!”
Kendra also states that when the couple gets married this summer, she will no longer be Kendra Wilkinson. She is taking the old fashioned route and will change her name to Kendra Baskett.
As for details about the wedding, she states that it will be a wedding at the Playboy Mansion and not a party. The ceremony will take place in the front yard of the Playboy estate. She also states that her brother, Not Hugh Hefner will be walking her down the aisle during the ceremony.
Ed McMahon In Serious Condition In The Hospital
Sunday, March 1st, 2009Former television entertainer and “Tonight Show” announcer, Ed McMahon is in the hospital in serious condition. According to TMZ.com, McMahon, 85, has been hospitalized due to complications from pneumonia and
other medical conditions. His rep has confirmed to Fox News that McMahon is in the hospital. “He is in the hospital. It is serious.” He also goes on to say, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers.” McMahon has been in the hospital for several days now. The rep would not release what medical center he was receiving treatment at or what other medical conditions that he was suffering from.
Ed McMahon was Johnny Carson’s sidekick and announcer on the “Tonight Show” for about 30 years. He also was the spokesperson for the Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes for several years. Most recently, McMahon has been in the news due to financial difficulties and almost foreclosing on his home. He blames his money problems on not being able to work due to breaking his neck when he fell in 2007. Ever the entertainer, McMahan did a spoof about himself and his financial problems for a commercial for CashForGold.com that aired during the Super Bowl.

Rihanna and Chris Brown Back Together?
Saturday, February 28th, 2009People.com is reporting that Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together. According to People, the two have reunited almost 3 weeks after the incident which landed Chris Brown is jail. It was alleged that Chris Brown beat-up Rihanna during that incident. In fact, photos were just leaked from the police this past week showing a bruised and battered Rihanna that night.
According to a source, the couple is ‘together again,” and spending time at one of Diddy’s homes on Miami Beach’s Star Island. The source goes on to say that “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”
The source also states that the reuniting is mutual and that they both care for each other. Chris Brown has made a public apology for what he did, but went on to say that things have been exaggerated or told untruthfully. Rihanna’s rep made a statement that Rihanna’s camp will not talk about the incident.
Brown was put into jail on account for making criminal threats but has yet to be charged with anything before the courts.
