You would probably remember that the last episode of the second season had shown Michael dropping down into the Atlantic Ocean. Well, in the opening sequence of the present episode, you will find that the show starts from this very point where Michael is under water and he is swimming after his fall from the helicopter. But, he is as expected completely alert of his physical and mental state. Here, you will also find that he has just escaped from the ‘management’ and had been detained by the police while fleeing. He is jail now and Harlan then comes over to pay his bail but Michael must promise that he would do him a favor that his old friend asks of him.
