Global markets are reeling under immense pressure. There is a talk of recession almost each day. The wind has just blown out of the financial sails for most of the economic superpowers. Germany has unofficially announced recession. Baltic countries like Kazakhstan and British country like Ireland have just declared bankruptcy (though unofficially again) Asian new-sprout Pakistan is dead in the doldrums. Political caveats here have opened doors for financial vacuum.
India is already looking down the barrel. It had resourced large-scale funneling from the foreign markets. With the FII sell-outs on the bourses, the Indian Sensex gives an impression of constant collapse. Inflation is on an incessant rise and Indian rupee is consistently weakening against the dollar.
All this has been perpetrated partially by the sub-prime mortgage crisis in America. Lending money to the under-banked without earnestly judging their credit history has come up as the Achilles’s heal of world’s top superpower. It is widely argued how a man with monthly revenue of $1000 could be expected to pay as much as $700 as EMI. Proposed foreclosure moratorium might be the needed breather.
Large scale oversubscription of companies had helped them create false financial castles in void. With the latest audit stock, the companies have come into the dubious light. Lehman group is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg.

Flowing from a height of 829 feet, Jog falls in Shimoga district of Karnataka is the highest plunge waterfall in India. It provides a resplendent view to an incessant flurry of tourists. During monsoon, its magic must be seen to be believed. There can be a debate over the technically highest fall in the country but the fact that Jog falls drops untiered, without being interrupted by rocks and boulders, make it arguably the highest and the very best fall in India.
The Falls beaks into four different streams as river Sharavathi deviates into four separate tracks. Each is named after their demeanor; the king, the queen, the roarer and the rocket. The naming bit can be attributed to the indigenous folks.
Undoubtedly the best falls in Asia in terms of scenic brilliance, it also provides great utilitarian value. It enables the Mahatma Gandhi hydro-electric project which bestows electricity to most of Karnataka. Fast moving water running through turbines can be an awesome view for the tourists.
Jog falls is mundane before the onset of monsoon so we suggest you to make a visit between August and December. Moreover, forget about the government’s statements and just go by what the locals perceive of the fall. It might give a better account of its grandeur and make your experience richer.

In 2001, when Urmila and Fardeen danced to the foot tapping number Kambakht Ishq, they did turn some heads towards them. Though the choreography was a stolen leaf from a Madonnas video, the song from the film did contribute to the success of the film. Hoping for similar results , baring the same on her back, Kareena is news in iWebie for her role in the new movie ‘Kambakht Ishq‘. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Akshay Kumar would dawn the male lead role while Kareena shall be his love interest. The actors would be sharing the screen space together for the seventh time. The movie is slated to release this year end. The happening Singh is supposedly going to portray a Hollywood stunt man in the film, whereas bebo, would be playing a high society chic with an attitude (K3G anyone ?). The movie is aimed at being a romantic comedy where an Indian stunt man who can take over the whole of Hollywood by his action and stunts but incapable of finding true love. And it would be Sabir Khan, the mission in charge working towards achieving great heights for Nadiadwaalas. Sabir Khan was more into backstage being assistant director in Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya(2005) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). This would be his directorial debut.
Nadiadwala sounded confident when he was heard saying, “It will be an international love story on a lavish scale.” The interesting point here would be to know that , the film will star a total of 8-9 Hollywood actors and will be shot in the exotic locales of Los Angeles. Director Sabir Khan said, “It’s an exciting merger of Hollywood and Indian cinema. Sajid has left no stone unturned in ensuring that some of the biggest names internationally have shown keen interest in his film.” Quoting from one of the rumors about a line producer who was going out saying ‘. We are in talks with Beyonce and we have also received a letter from Arnold’s office…Things will be confirmed shortly and we will be making a formal announcement when that happens. If you thought that was news, wait until you hear this, Our very own, ROCKY bhaiiyya Mr.Stallone will be contributing with his acting and action also is said to be one of them. More, Superman Brandon Routh would also be adding his power to the flick. Where as Wild things actress Denise Richards shall try and add some glamor and glitter for this holly bolly flick. The last thing we would like to see is all these high profile actors dancing to some bollywood tunes running around trees. Actually it would be fun to see them so, would’nt it?

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Forthcoming movie Dilli 6 features Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead role’s along with a huge starcast namely Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, Rishi Kapoor, Waheeda Rahman, Divya Dutta, Tanvi Azmi, Deepak Dobriyal, Shefali Shah, K.K. Raina, Supriya Pathak, Pavan Malhotra, Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Prem Chopra, Vijay Raaz, Cyrus Sahukar and Nello Del Gatto.
The movie is based on Omprakash Mehra’s youth growing days in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk. From what we know until now, Amitabh Bachchan will play the grandfather to Abhishek Bachchan (as Laxman Prasad), Waheeda Rahman will play his grandmother and Gulshan Grover would play Abhishek Bachchan’s dad in the film.
The Movie’s Music is by none other than A R Rahman.

US President 2008
Monday, October 27th, 2008The Leader of the Free World is a term that is used so little and so lightly nowadays. On November 4, 2008 the Americans will elect the next President of the United States and Leader of the Free World: Barack Obama (Shown on the Left) or John McCain (Shown on the Right).
Both candidates all their own, John McCain open and wise to the ages and years of life, Barack Obama full hearted to a young and proud generation. We can only hope on November 4th that the people will vote not by look, religion, intelligence, age, or race, but by who is ready to be the next Leader of the Free World.
The story of Barack Obama is a child born in Hawaii, raised in Chicago by a single mother. By contrast, John McCain’s story is similar, being raised on naval bases to a father who served, and his mother raising him as a near single parent, but their stories similar, from completely different times, but can the American people really say they know who Barack Obama and John McCain are?
A discussion came up amongst me and friends about Barack Obama and John McCain. It was mentioned that Senator Obama has had some bad breaks with the Reverend Wright story, and his ties and funding to Acorn polling. It just adds up against him, Then someone else mentioned that if he had just made his claim, honored them and held their friendships, but release their ideals in comparison to his own, things would have been a lot easier. But that overall, it makes him human, doing drugs in school, going to a church conducted by an anti-American preacher. Are they great backgrounds, no but it makes him human, and gives him point in which he can relate to people, and show his will to over come. Do I support George Bush…not in a million years. He has slipped one too many times, but he is just as human as Barack Obama. In the end George Bush and Barack Obama are more alike in characteristics than John McCain and the President. They both have had their hard times, but they fight through them. President Bush at the will and power of a nation at his feet to help him get done what needed to and he left it on the ground, but John McCain’s history is scary. A troubled prisoner of war, a senator for many years, some plunders in his ideals, and a man with an unpredictable temper. His credentials as a veteran honorable, he desires to continue on honest. I think Sarah Palin said it best in her debate against Joe Biden. “Every administration will have their setbacks and problems, and it’s how they deal with them that counts”. Spoken like an honest person that expects no less than a hard rode. No matter who we choose to be the next President of the United States, neither are going to come out with a straight A report card, but we can hope that they will do all in their power to make it better out than it is when they start. Will either John McCain or Barack Obama be able to make up for the mistakes of 8 neglected years, NO. They can do what they can, what is best for the American people, but no one can expect them to claim the power of the lord and lift our nation from a chaos that could have been settled if not avoided.
The American people are so frustrated right now that they switch from blaming Congress, to the Bush Administration, what ever happened to “The Buck Stops Here”. President Truman and Reagan were bold men, feared men, because they had no fear or regrets. Did it get them in trouble, certainly, but it is honest and what the people wanted to hear. America blames President Bush for not doing all he could to prevent things from happening, and they blame Congress for not countering the Bush administration. And it escapes them that two members of that Congress they regret are running for President, and one will be elected. The overall ignorance of the American people is startling. And now the focus has turned to the Running mates and their credentials to be President.
The Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin and the long standing Senator of Delaware Joseph Biden. Two minds that have met on the fields of politics. One with the experience of running a state, the other legislative experience that is hard to match. One economically rich, the other abundant in foreign policy. And in the end, I feel I know Governor Palin and Senator Biden better than I do the Senators. Really whom are the people electing the Senators, or the Veeps? Cause in a demented and terrible reality they have just a chance of being given the title of President. John McCain and his age/health. Barack Obama and his race/skin color. Neither plays in favor of the candidates.
Do you elect the Democratic team of a lawyer that is young and relates to the generations, with a partner of many years of experience and honors? Or do you elect the Republican team of a young POW, a senator of nearly three decades, that has the experience and knowledge of the greatest wise man, with a younger, attractive lady who had her ups and done, but is more human than anyone that she speaks straight to the American people. If you ask me they are the same.
So now we go back to the question. John McCain-Sarah Palin, Barack Obama-Joe Biden. Four people that are who we as the people have chosen to be our leaders and the worlds leader. Who can bring American back to the relations we had, were our allies and power was something feared by all. Who can make our life as Americans, the American dream once again, with resources, energy, and pleasure that make our lives envied. Who can be the next President of the United States and Leader of the Free World? Don’t vote Republican, don’t vote Democrat, vote for the person that will be you and me back to the Land of the Free.

Second Life (SL) is a highly imaginative, creative environment. Visiting Second Life is like stepping into a Dali or Magritte painting in 3D. The “fully textured high-resolution” second life avatars are customizable to the “nth” degree, with dozens of sliders to change every micro-pixel of your avatar’s shape, size, and color. While some “Lifers” (the preferred nickname of Second Life citizens) do their best to create miniature versions of their offline bodies, most use the opportunity to make themselves look as strange as possible. You never know what (or who) you’ll see in Second Life, which is part of the fun.

While many gamers visit Second Life, it is not a “gaming” world per se. The main in-world activity is the building of interactive objects using a scripting language that is theoretically designed to be simple enough for those with no previous programming experience. This fits in with Second Life’s stated goal of encouraging widespread group participation and creativity. Objects can be either donated to the world or can be sold for “Linden Dollars.”
Second Life’s often bizarre “waking dream” atmosphere may incessantly appeal creative artists and techie folks than to the casual social chatter. The world is so rich in features there is a bit of a learning curve to overcome to get started, which is somewhat alleviated by well-written help files available at the site and a first-visit tutorial. If you get freaked out by seeing odd things that you can’t explain, this second world is not for you.
